Frogz Burgerz by PaganFireSnake Frogz Burgerz by PaganFireSnake
So on a bit of a "adding words to photos" thing this am. But don't worry, this does not mean I am changing how I submit my photos. Just needed a laugh today and poking a bit of fun at my animals and some photos of them definitely made me  :)

The original for this photo is here:
And YES I did take the original photo. Poor Twinkie...always the focus of humor when I need a frog for a funny shot. :lmao:

And here is a photo I added words to with my tarantula, Samhain:

Actually he did settle right into that bun! :lmao: I think it made him feel nice and secure, with him being a burrowing species, and he didn't seem to mind it one bit.:D

 :lmao: Glad you like it! :D Yeah I do like it also for the puns. One of the things I like to try to do, with my photography, is get shots that can have more then one meaning. I think photo's that make you think, or make some kind of statement, really show how photography is a art form! I know some think photography isn't, b/c some think there isn't much work involved in it. But I definitely put a lot of thought and time into quite a few of my shots...sometimes it can take months for me to get a particular shot I have in my head to come out how I want it to.

I have always believed that photography is every bit as much an art form as other forms of visual expression. You're using photos to communicate an idea, just as would a painter or sculptor. You pick your subjects and you compose your shot for the best effect. You adjust the lighting, focus, field, and all the other technical stuff. You may or may not do a lot of post-work in a photo editing program. It's every bit as involved as any of the other visual disciplines, and anyone who says otherwise has probably been doing it wrong. ;p You, my intrepid friend, do it right.

 Awe thank you for that sweet and uplifting comment.:D I have spend quite a bit of time on single shots! Whether it's getting the set-up just right or getting the animal I am working with into the pose I want it. I have been working on one idea of getting one of my snakes to bite and hold onto a die-cast model car of a NASCAR driver I am not that fond of. You'd think just a bit of mouse scenting would do it and I'd have that shot within a few minutes. But snakes are a LOT smarter and cautious of things then most give them credit for! It's been almost a full yr work in progress in getting one particular snake to even be ok with having the car next to him! :lmao: I do have one thing going for me. He has a VERY high prey drive and gets extremely excited over the smell of other snakes. He's a kingsnake and they are known to eat other snakes. Though I have never fed him a snake, and NEVER will, his brain still tells him to snap out at anything that remotely smells like another snake. So instead of using a mouse to scent the car I am using one of my corn snakes! I am very close to getting the angel that I want and hopefully it will be something I can finally post here! :D
