I didn't even realize there was this little guy on the flower until after I downloaded it! :lol: i love the pic even more now that not only did the flower come out nice but so did that little fly guy.:) Any help is identifying him and the flower would be greatly appreciated.:)


BTW Thanks to :iconduggiehoo: I found out this insect is a Syrphid fly, aka common name Hover Fly. Thanks for the help with the id. :hug:

Thanx.:) These flowers grow wild in the field behind my fire dept. No clue what kind they are but I too think they are really nice looking. The little hover fly coming out as nicely as it did was a really cool bonus.:)

Lol, I just posted on someone elses photo about how little bugs always manage to sneak into photos and noone realizes it until later! I've had that happen so many times!

:rofl: Usually they end up messing up the pic b/c I don't have my camera focused to include them. Or they are blurry b/c I get the pic just as they are flying or clawing in. With this guy I was so happy that it came out as nice as it did.:) I think he really makes the pic even better.:)

Oh yeah! The two pics with the yellow rose and bee.:) Gotta go check them out again.:) I didn't even realize tho that this guy was in the pic until after I downloaded it. A very nice surprise and I was so happy that it came out so nicely.:) It's the little things like this that make my day.:)

It is a Syrphid fly .... common name Hover Fly, possibly Genus Toxomerus.

Thank you! :) I tried looking online this morning but I got frustrated that I couldn't find anything and gave up! I normally have a lot of patience with this kind of stuff and I actually enjoy researching things. However with my wedding a few weeks away...my patience has gone out the window! :lol: I can't wait until this wedding is over with so I can get back to my normal life!
