I didn't even realize there was this little guy on the flower until after I downloaded it! 
i love the pic even more now that not only did the flower come out nice but so did that little fly guy.
Any help is identifying him and the flower would be greatly appreciated.

I found out this insect is a Syrphid fly, aka common name Hover Fly. Thanks for the help with the id.
