This is Devil Dog, my Ornate horned frog. I was really debating over whether to up load this or not but the quality isn't the greatest. But I really like detail of his shadow..you can even see the little "bumps" on his back.:)

Thank you.:) It's one of the things I like about the Ornates over the Chacos...they usually keep those nice colors/patterning where as the Chacos usually loose a lot of the green.

That really is one great little frog, I think it every time I see him. Lots of people's horned frogs are just kind of... fat... but he's got a great shape!

"Fat" for these frogs may look "cute" to some but it really is so unhealthy for them to be over weight. All of my horned frogs are at a nice weight but it takes a good eye and knowing what the species can handle to be able to maintain it. They can otherwise become quickly obsess!

Nah, I think that this kind of weight is cuter. Never had a horned frog though, so I don't know what it's like keeping them.

Personally, I'm worried the other way. Not my own frogs, but the local ones which use my pond... a couple had got really thin last time I saw them.

Oh that's sad.:( I wonder if there is a problem with the water (as in some pesticide)or parasite that is causing these frogs to be anorexic like that. Usually finding food isn't the issue but some outside source...
