This is a picture I took for the "Silence" contest for 
. It is from the inside of one of my dept ambulances and includes our rig's Defib, on board suction unit, a bp cuff and stethoscope.
Tho these can be life saving instruments, too often they are the last thing that is used in a fruitless effort to save someone. Those times, for me, can be some of the quietest and sad times on my ambulance. That silence can be all most deafening.......
